Main Page

Hello. Original Main Page (Wikiuutiset:Etusivu/vanha) is now full of fresh news and other fresh content. And since this wiki is up and running... it would be nice to have main page in the proper place. Can you please move the original Main Page back to right place? I know that this wiki is soft closed, but now we have fresh content again and we need more readers... and more readers might bring more writers... So we need Main Page. @More Good News News Which came first, the chicken or the egg? So I understand that you need a main page. But if I make some parallels to what I'd need to see on a new project, I'd want to make sure there is a community supporting the wiki, too. A news wiki, in particular, cannot be a one-person show.

I see that three people have been involved in creating the articles so far on the front page. If I continue to see three people involved continuing to create articles when we get to December 13 (one month after you started creating new articles), then we can do the following:

• You can post a notice on Finnish Wikipedia that you are working to reopen the wiki, and that there is a tentative front page available at Wikiuutiset:Etusivu/vanha. At the same time, if you draft a notice box for me, I'll ask the stewards to add it to the current front page as pointing to the /vanha subpage. I understand your points, but it would be much nicer to write a good articles... if we have Main Page in the proper place very soon. It's a huge problem to not have enought readers to our articles. Avarage reader/user sees empty main page and goes away, because she/he doesn't know that we also have a fresh content. And for example user AkselHelp is very worried about his articles doesn't get any readers. This wiki also has very good old articles. Also there has been more than three people doing things, some of those have done other useful things. And also, if have plenty of readers, we might get more writers. My suggestion is to move the original Main Page to the proper place very soon, maybe even today... basically lets say for a test run... if we have succesful relaunch of this site... original Main Page stays in the proper place... and if not successful... you can restore the soft closed main page. And if you don't accept that suggestion... I have also another suggestion... Move the original Main Page to the proper place, maybe even today... and put that same notification... this wiki is soft closed (you can use current nofication as it is) on top of that original Main Page... and if we have succesful relaunch of this wiki... we remove that notification after couple of months. --More Good News News (keskustelu) 5. joulukuuta 2018 kello 08.11 (UTC)
